Pune-Ahmedabad flight fares shoot up on weekend amid World Cup final fever

Travellers flying from Pune to Ahmedabad for the ICC World Cup final are facing exorbitant airfares. One-way direct flight tickets on Saturday cost over Rs 20,000, while even one-stop flight fares start from Rs 17,000. Travellers are finding it difficult to afford these prices, with one resident deciding to cancel their trip altogether. Despite the high fares, cricket enthusiasts are still booking flights and hotels for the final match. Hotel tariffs in Ahmedabad have also increased significantly, with prices more than 4-5 times higher than normal.
