Mumbai doc does lung transplant in Chennai despite accident in Pune

A cardiothoracic surgeon successfully performed a lung transplant surgery in Chennai despite being injured in an accident involving the ambulance carrying the organ. The surgeon and his team were transporting the lung when the ambulance crashed into the bridge wall after hitting two vehicles on the Pune-Mumbai highway. Despite the injuries, the surgeon and his team managed to reach the airport and board a charter plane to Chennai for the surgery.
