Pune Municipal Corporation transfers 4 civic officials over illegal flexes

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken action against four civic officials for failing to address the issue of illegal flexes and hoardings in the city. The officials have been transferred out of the sky sign department. Activists claim that despite complaints, illegal advertising materials continue to be widespread due to the vested interests of officials and advertising agencies. The PMC has removed a large number of illegal materials since 2017 and collected fines, but activists argue that these numbers are not accurate.
