Politicians feel the heat from Maratha reservation protests

The Maratha quota agitations in Maharashtra have intensified, with politicians facing opposition and protests from Maratha organizations. Activist Manoj Jarange's hunger strike, now in its third day, has prompted many villages to ban politicians from entering. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar faced opposition from the Maratha Kranti Morcha during an event in Baramati, while Leader of the Opposition Ambadas Danve was targeted in Pune. State Cabinet Minister Hasan Mushrif's convoy was stopped in Kolhapur, and stones were thrown at BJP MP Pratap Chikhalikar's convoy in Nanded. Over 500 villages in Nashik have also banned politician entry.
