Police constable booked on charge of stalking 17-yr-old

A constable from the Vishrambaug police in Pune has been booked for allegedly stalking a 17-year-old college student. The constable reportedly followed the girl into her college campus and struck up a conversation with her, obtaining her phone number and taking a selfie. Later that night, he sent her an objectionable text. The girl, who was initially impressed with the constable due to his uniform, was disturbed by the message. The police have registered a case under stalking laws and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
