NDA cadet dies of head injury from boxing bout

A National Defence Academy cadet has passed away due to a head injury sustained during a boxing championship bout. Despite undergoing surgery, the cadet could not be revived. An inquiry has been ordered to examine the circumstances surrounding the competition and ensure safety measures were followed. The cadet, who had joined the academy in April 2021, was given full military honors. The NDA fraternity expressed condolences to the family.
