Health dept trains state gynaecologists on methods to reduce maternal deaths

The state health department in Pune conducted a workshop to train gynecologists on reducing maternal deaths. Maharashtra ranks second in controlling maternal deaths, and the aim of the workshop was to further decrease the number. Doctors were asked to review each maternal death to determine the cause, and measures such as spreading awareness about calling ambulances were suggested. However, implementing these measures can be challenging due to factors such as families not agreeing to post-mortems.
