Centre nod to extend Metro from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation office to Nigdi

The Union ministry of housing and urban affairs has approved the extension of the Metro from Pimpri Chinchwad to Nigdi in Pune. The 4.4km elevated stretch will include three new stations - Chinchwad, Akurdi, and Nigdi. The project, estimated to cost Rs910.18 crore, is expected to be completed in three years and three months. The extension will provide better connectivity and reduce traffic congestion, benefiting residents of Chinchwad, Akurdi, and Nigdi. Authorities are urged to ensure timely completion of the project.
