Airfares from Pune at par with Mumbai this festive season

During the festive season, airline ticket prices from Pune and Mumbai to several destinations are at par, debunking the notion that larger airports offer cheaper fares. For instance, the one-way fare from Pune to Kolkata on Diwali eve ranges from Rs17,000 to Rs19,000, while the fare from Mumbai to Kolkata ranges from Rs15,000 to Rs35,000. Despite having fewer direct flights, Pune's ticket prices are almost the same as Mumbai's. Travelers are opting for train options or stop-over flights to save on costs.
