'Action against app-based autos Pune RTA's call

State additional transport commissioner Jitendra Patil on Thursday said the Pune Regional Transport Authority should take a call on acting against the aggregators like Ola, Uber and Rapido, running appbased autorickshaw service in the city. “As the decision to reject the pleas of these aggregators to operate appbased autorickshaws was taken by the RTA (Regional Transport Authority), an appropriate decision on the matter should also be taken by it,” Patil said on Thursday. TOI had contacted Patil for his response on Tuesday’s incident, wherein an Uber autorickshaw driver allegedly molested and attempted to rape an IT professional after she had booked the vehicle for a ride back home in Handewadi from her workplace.
