Ex-chief of Cosmos Bank gets 6-month jail in accident case

A magisterial court on Monday convicted and sentenced Mukund Abhyankar (86), former chairman and a sitting director of the Cosmos Co-operative Bank Limited, to six months of simple imprisonment, besides imposing a fine of Rs1,200 on him in a 2016 hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a woman scooterist on Bhandarkar Road.
