Maharashtra govt reconstitutes Covid task force as cases surge

With a surge in Covid cases, the state government has reconstituted the Covid task force under the leadership of Dr Subhash Salunkhe, the former state director general of health services. Last year, Dr Salunkhe was appointed as the head of the task force on measles after the viral infection killed many children across the state. The earlier task force was headed by Dr Sanjay Oak, former dean of KEM Hospital, Parel.
