Moshi man tries to book cab online, loses Rs 3.5L to crook

A 41-year-old Moshi resident lost Rs3.5 lakh to a cybercrook while trying to book a cab to Kolhapur for his parents on February 18. The man approached the Bhosari MIDC police on Sunday and filed a complaint. An officer from the Bhosari MIDC police said the victim, who works with a private firm, ran a search on the internet for booking the cab on Saturday. He selected one of the tour operators and filled a form on its web portal.
