Fake students: Maha counting Aadhaar registrations

The state government is counting on Aadhaar card registrations to flush out ‘fake’ students from school enrollment records. Last month, school education minister Deepak Kesarkar told TOI that his department was in the final stages of mapping Aadhaar card data of all enrolled students, so that the government has clarity on exactly how many students are actually in classrooms.
