
After the first round of undergraduate medical and dental admissions in the state, 374 MBBS seats were vacant in government colleges and 732 in private institutes. A large number of seats were vacant in Vedantaa Institute of Medical Sciences, a private institution, which is currently charging the highest fees in Maharashtra.
