Pune: Trio fleeing jewellery store open fire

Three men fired a round of ammunition at a jewellery store in Dattanagar off Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass on Saturday night, while fleeing after a robbery attempt. The trio ran when the store owner pressed the alarm button installed. The bullet smashed a sliding glass cover of a wall-mounted showcase, but no one was injured. The robbers were caught unawares by the loud siren and rushed out before one of them opened fire, the police said.
