Monsoon exits country after week's delay

The India Meteorological Department on Sunday said the southwest monsoon has exited the country after a week's delay. The usual date of withdrawal or complete retreat from the country is October 15. But, in the last few years, it has been withdrawing late and this time, extended till the third week of October. Rain continued over Maharashtra in October mainly due to two cyclonic circulations.
