Nashik: 3 held for possession of leopard skin

The Nashik forest department arrested three people, two of them college students, for possession of a leopard skin with the intention of selling it. The trio was produced before a local court on Wednesday, which remanded them in the custody of the forest department till till September 24. As per preliminary information, one of the students is pursuing pharmacy and the other law. The third suspect runs a small-time business. Under the Wildlife Act, an illegal act like this can fetch to a jail term of 3 to 7 years if proven in court.
