Pune: Triple infection detected in dead man's sample

A 60-year-old man, diagnosed with Covid and dengue coinfection, died at a city hospital earlier this month. But an analysis of his sample by the NIV later revealed he had chikungunya too. Coinfections with more than one virus are uncommon, but have been reported during monsoon and postmonsoon months.
