BA.2.75 sample from Maha found with Delta trait

At least one BA.2.75 sample from Maharashtra has been found with the mutation L452R, which was also seen in the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, reports Neha Madaan. At least three sequences from Karnataka also have been found with this mutation, as per GISAID data. But Maharashtra's coordinator for genome sequencing, Dr Rajesh Karyakarte, said no surge in caseloads have occurred near the area from where the sample was collected.
