Strike affects power generation at Koyna plant

The strike by the employees of the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company affected power generation at the Koyna dam. Since the start of the two-day strike, power generation fell from 1,820 MW to 1,440 MW at the hydropower station complex which has a total capacity of generating 1,920 MW.
