Maharashtra sees rise in daily toll, Covid tally

After registering only five deaths on Monday, the daily toll in Maharashtra rose to 19, according to the state government’s Covid-19 update. The daily tally also increased from 518 to 699 in the same period. However, health officials said that such fluctuations are not statistically significant and the second Covid wave has completely declined.
