Pune: Daily cases rise to 1479 on increased testing

The Pune Metropolitan Region on Wednesday reported 1,479 cases of Covid-19, which was the highest single-day tally since October 11 last year when 1,720 people had tested positive in the region. The rise was primarily on the account of increased testing, which almost touched 11,700 in the last 24 hours.
