A few years ago, when the editor of Kirloskar magazine, Mukund Kirloskar, told Jayant Narlikar, that he would become the president of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan one day, the eminent astrophysicist said it was an impossible task as he was not a literary man. ​
