‘UK strain is here but no need to panic’

India on Tuesday confirmed there are UK returnees who have been infected by the new variant of the coronavirus. But the director of National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Sujeet Singh, said there was “no need to panic”. He told TOI, “We just have to be careful and prevent this strain from spreading.”
