‘Dead body in ghat’ alert sends police in a tizzy

A 40-member team of the Kondhwa police on Wednesday went on a 16km wild goose chase in the Bopdev Ghat following an alert call from a person about a man’s body. All that they found after a two-hour search was a sack they claimed the man, presumed dead, had used as a headrest to sleep the night before.
